Azure Down is an enchanting group from California. Sounding like a new Pink Floyd, this band puts music together as well as you could ask. With slow, resounding guitar parts that seem to speak to you, and the vocals telling their own story, you can easily get lost in each of their songs. Azure Down is making a name for themselves in the California area...This band is a true joy for those who enjoy lengthy, complex songs. From the flotsam and jetsam that was once Orange Countys much appreciated and underutilized 7 Story Sound, comes Azure Down. The band is comprised of an eclectic mix of individuals whose undigested nuggets of harmonizing vocals, lengthy free-form sonic exploration, proto-psychedelia, and post-punk etherealism helped shape their musical direction. With visually stimulating live shows, Azure Down is making thick, sonic waves among Southern California 's indie music scene and has just signed its first recording contract with local Southern California indie label IML Records. Azure Down will be releasing their debut album, "We Searched for Neptune", in March 2009 and is looking forward to a bright future that can only exceed the fantastic present.
