Babaganouj

From ashes of a band of relatively great un-success, comes a band with as much or as little to prove as they wish - Babaganouj are a traditional power trio, featuring guitar and vocal chord shredder Charles Sale (Yves Klein Blue), drummer Peter McDowell, and most recently bassist(e) and singer/chanteuse Harriette Pilbeam. Together they play what has been self-dubbed as 'low octane rock'n'roll', surprisingly bereft of such influences as dubstep, or even the ever pervasive 'chillwave'. When questioned about this, all three members denied to comment, though McDowell remains 'adamant' that he will be continuing with his minimalist trance/electro side-project, Junkie Jane. They will soon record a debut record of some description, though whether it will be a single, an EP or an album is yet to be decided. We have enlisted the A-team to help us with our debut recording. Sean Cook (Yves Klein Blue/Big Scary) and Tim Steward of Screamfeeder fame will be jointly twiddling the knobs. As long as there is a steady supply of reasonable local beer, Wizz Fizz brand sherbet, and the occasional Wagon Wheel, the 'Nouj (as they are affectionately known by their approximately 150 Facebook fans) are here to stay!
