Bio
Babamars hail from Montpellier in the south of France. Their first album « Whatever Happened To All Our Pioneers » released on Warm Music in June 2004.
They formed their electro pop rock outfit with an sugary flavour back in 2000. Since the beginning they have received critical acclaim as writers, composers and performers which lead to them winning the Top Music Award in 2000 in Montpellier.
Musically, they are influenced by very different sounds and list The Beatles, Beck, The Beastie Boys and New Order as major influences in creating their own unique sound. Early 2002 saw them start recording at their home studio in Paris and in September 2003 they won the « Attention Talent » Scene Award in France.
Even with their busy recording schedule they found time to do a remix of Indochines « Le Grand Secret » in January 2003. Finally after their first album « Whatever Happened To All Our Pioneers » the leader Walter Di Castro comes back with a second album, released in 2007, "Surprising Twists".
