Bio

As Todd Moore was slithering around Austin, Texas; looking for a bassist, Ross Stutzman was playing various instruments with others and was open to sitting in with "Dr. Todd" on his borrowed bass. Ross's friend Stewart Lane was interested also in collaborating with others in a fused rock vein. Six months in the woodshed later, Aric Pearson was invited to join in the collaboration which was to be Baby Anacondas.

As soon as the Baby Anacondas were ready, Bonnie Raitt's live engineer, Paul (Pappy) Middleton was contacted to record Baby Anacondas' first album. "Live Birth" is scheduled for release in December of 2009. It is a recording which features spontaneity and collaboration between the band members recorded mostly live using an Abbey Road Neve console on a Studer A800 2" tape machine and mixed to an ATR-102 1/2" tape recorder. Our rock is fused with jazz, blues, funk and funkier. The result is a spontaneous performance with an old school quality.

Austin style southern rock fused with modern funk and progressive sensibilities.
