There’s a lot of “curating” going on these days, and although I love a love/hate/whatever relationship with that word/concept/conceit, I do have to toot my own horn about the compilations of favourite songs I put together for 2012, of which one of the highlights was the song that kicked off part three of that collection, Couriers‘ “You’ll Know Why/Movin’ On Up”.
Sadly, Couriers are no more, but in their wake comes Baby Please, featuring three members in a new setting, with a very familiar, yet grittier sound. A new four-song self-titled EP that’s available as a Soundcloud download below. Any one of these tracks could be on my compilation of favourite songs of 2014, so time will tell which one makes it. One thing for sure, though, my 2014 has been made brighter by the return of these talented musicians.

Bio
Baby Please is Chad, Kyle, Brian and myself. Chad, Kyle and I all come from London. In high school we played in a Strokes cover band called Here There Be Tygers, a name we lifted from a lesser known Stephen King short story. Alas, after just two shows we called it quits and went our separate ways. But now in 2014, as grown ass men years later, we've regrouped with the help of our good friend Brian from Winnipeg. We no longer do Strokes covers and we recently recorded a short 4 song EP with Brian. We're called Baby Please, which thus far has been a bit of a polarizing name, but we're sticking with it.
