Bio
Formed out of the ashes of another Vegas cover band, Jim Cooley, Sean Haezebrouck and vocalist Amanda Ornelas began taking Jim's prolific song writing to another level. Sean and Jim grew up in the midwest and were raised on punk rock and noisy stuff coming out of Chicago and Detroit. Jim played and toured with the ska/metal band the Blue Meanies and Sean played bass in the industrial rock band Noc Barrage and drummed with the percussive noise ensemble, Batterie Acid. They spoke the same musical language and were immediately on the same page.
Amanda grew up in California doing musical theater and hitting the karaoke bars. Her powerful voice and sense of humor was a perfect fit for Baby's On Fire. During the cover band phase she wailed on old school hits from Heart, Pat Benatar and Evanescence. No easy feat. Her bluesy tones are the yin to the boys cacophonous yang. Amanda's voice cuts through the distorted blues madness and bombast emanating from Jim and Sean's instruments and adds an unexpected element like honey on a peanut butter sandwich.
Although they're a threesome, they project the power and presence of a band twice their size. The experience of the two linemen and the freshness of Ornelas' pipes create a worthy rock 'n' roll experience for all that hear them. Look out Vegas, there's some new killers about.
