Bio
The Back Alley Music Review is a rock band with a big sound, pushing out mid sixties rock reminiscent of early Stones, mixed with a pounding back beat, melded with Captain Beef Heart vocals. Throw in a little swagger and they've got quite a good show.
Consisting of just a drummer, Kasey Rebello, and a guitar player, Mike Primeau, this band plays some pretty raunchy blues, dancing around jazz and folk.
Kasey comes from the University of North Texas in Denton, known for its music programs and the town's big music appreciation. He has been playing for over 17 years in various bands from big band to jam band, focusing on groove and a solid backbeat, with some nice chops in the jazz department.
Mike has been playing for the past ten years, largely in Dallas, with small tours across the country, highlighted by the southern delta region. He has been playing originals created from various styles consisting of blues, jazz, big band, swing, and vaudeville.
These two bring together a really good chemistry and are putting out songs evoking the feel of Tom Waits, the Ramones, The Black Keys, The Rolling Stones, My Morning Jacket, Howlin' Wolf, and other great blues players. This band has it.
