"Backline Revival's debut at the Cellar Lounge (LMC)"

This 5-piece band (3 males - 2 females) rocked our Cellar Lounge with a great energy and presence that we haven't seen for some time around here... the crowd wanted more at the end of the set, and they weren't disappointed... I hope they return to the club very soon and continue where they left off".

"Acoustic sounds of Backline Revival fills East Village Coffee House"

Backline Revival takes half a dozen eclectic instruments -- from African hand drums to banjo and acoustic bass -- and blends them into a smooth-as-coffee blues hybrid sound. Channeling the roots of music, the band lay down a compelling groundwork of rhythms then tease out the musical nuances with sweet beckoning vocals and soulful solos. Delicious!

"Backline Revival Rocks the ABC Rally"

She sang Rock’n’Roll for us along with that great band that played. I was told this was their first professional gig! Watch for them. They are “the” Backline Revival!

From the ashes of the burnt down and out London Ontario Rock scene rises the soulful and dynamic sound of Backline Revival. Combining a handful of styles with hard edge guitars and sinful rhythms this animated 5 piece entertains and engages audiences of all ages. Offering a wide range of shows with 2 sets of soulful rock originals and classic covers or for a more intimate venue or modest budget we also offer an acoustic set, perfect for private parties or coffee house settings.
Though this group hails from many different hometowns, they all met in London, Ontario the home of bassist Rmoney. Both from Northern Ontario, rhythm guitarist, Chuck Rocks of Dryden and drummer, A.J. of Kenora made their way south to London where they attended O.I.A.R.T. with lead guitarist and friend of Rmoney, Houndog Houle of St. Thomas. Not quite complete, the band began auditioning for a front woman and recording tracks for their debut album tentatively named ‘For the Love of it…’ However before recording was complete a star was found in the fresh new energetic front woman Nikki James of St.Thomas, Ontario.
Although Backline Revival has only been performing for a few short months, the sound and presentation of the band would indicate otherwise. Influenced by a broad spectrum of classic to modern Rock, Pop and Blues, they achieve a timeless quality in their songs while maintaining a fresh modern feel with catchy, sensibly written songs.
Having won over crowds of up to 300+ people, new fans await the release of their debut independent album.
