The Backroad Bandits are a young, high energy Texas Country band founded in the college town of Commerce, Texas in late 2010. Known for thrilling performances filled with exciting audience engagement, they provide a bountiful mix of covers to satisfy many tastes, and an increasing set of originals.

Biography

The Backroad Bandits were formed in late 2010 with Matt Prewitt and Jordan Owens. Soon after, Seth Welborn, Jacob Mazoch, and Colton Smith were added. They began playing shows in and around the college town of Commerce, Texas. People started to take notice of their high-energy sets that included not only crowd-favorite covers, but also an expanding repertoire of original songs. In May 2011, the Bandits' roster was fleshed out by the addition of multi-instrumentalist Heath Robinson. The band has since played with bands such as the Cameron Foster Band and the Clay Wilson band in Commerce, Yantis, Sulphur Springs, and Fort Worth, Texas.
