Bio
Formed in the summer of 2012, Back to the Action began as the brain child of guitarist Ryan Schin. Like so many others in recent years, Ryan found himself unemployed and with nothing but his time to spend. After recording a few songs on his own, Ryan quickly realized the potential of the material and recruited his brother Jim to fill the essential role of drummer. Long time friends Pat Williams and Marc Vollo had wanted to collaborate for years and fell naturally into the place of rhythm guitar and bass, respectively. All that remained to finish the puzzle was to find a vocalist to complete the lineup. After months of craigslist ads, awkward auditions, and sketchy encounters, Donovan O'Rourke stepped up to the mic on a Sunday afternoon to remember and Back the Action was born.
In just their first four months as a band, Back to the Action has already secured shows opening for major national touring acts such as: Mayday Parade, The Maine, For the Foxes, and With The Punches and show no sign of stopping now!
