"With their heavy reverb and cutting guitars, the resulting Bad Bibles sound like they could have been ripped directly out of late 1970s England, which makes sense because, just as Johnny Rotten had to blow up The Sex Pistols to create Public Image Ltd, The Actors had to blow themselves up to make music that effectively mines the immortal post-punk band's legacy.
As singer Phil Maves told Wiretap Music, 'The Actors = Old Yeller; Bad Bibles = the shotgun.'" - Huffington Post
"Led by Phil Maves (formerly of The Actors), Bad Bibles is a new SF band whose debut EP of demos, streaming above, displays a knack for dark, post-punk-informed rock and roll. Bad Bibles performs with Phantom Kicks and Here Come the Saviours at Cafe Du Nord on Wednesday, July 13th." - The Bay Bridged
"...promising post-punk newcomers Bad Bibles...We have been particuarly digging the aforementioned Bad Bibles just-dropped four track demo..." - The Feast
"If you haven't heard Bad Bibles yet, well, don't worry. You will soon...you don't really hear music like this any more. It's unabashed guitar-driven rock...[with] post-punk musical experimentation. But what strikes me most is that lead singer Phil Maves is an honest-to-god lead singer. Phil gets up there and owns the stage while he belts out the lyrics. I hate to use the word 'refreshing' but, dammit...I guess I just did." - Wiretap Music

Bio
Bad Bibles are a post-punk band based in Brooklyn and San Francisco, led by singer Phil Maves and guitarist Dan Leech.
Former members of synth-rock outfit The Actors, Phil and Dan killed off their old band after inspiration struck in the form of a nightmare. Bad Bibles have been generating buzz for their weirdly memorable songs and dynamic, physical shows.
Their self-titled debut EP was released in January 2012, and the new single "Nearsighted" is available now.
