Bio
Bad Credit No Credit was born into Brooklyn's DIY community in 2008. Thoroughly a product of its eclectic melting pot environment, the band often references the rich history of jazz and cabaret in the midst of punk-infused performances.
The band utilizes its unique instrumentation and bandleader Carrie-Anne Murphy's unmistakable voice to create something heartfelt, urgent, powerful, and funky. The versatile band members might easily reference Eric Dolphy, Prince, and the X-Ray Spex in the same breath.
BCNC releases their first full-length LP, "The Whole Buffalo," in November 2012. The record was mixed by Ben Greenberg (Hubble, Zs, The Men) at Strange Weather and financed by a very successful Kickstarter campaign.
