The band has worked long and hard now on the music for just under 2 years to create a well polished sound which they play live every Monday night at the 5 star Kairaba Hotel in the Gambia from 7:45-10pm to great audience response. The music is a fusion of West African Mandinka and Canadian traditions to create a sweet sound.

With their thirds Amadu Diabarte and Jali Bakary Konteh both dream of owning their own land to have a place to call home in the Gambia.

Greig Jatoo with his third of the revenue hopes to raise funds to help him further his work with the University Technology Student Work Experience Building Program that he created and organizes at the University of the Gambia. Through this program students complete contracts slowly but cheaply and under the guidance of experienced software engineers acting as project managers.

Amadu and Jali are both griots and carry with them a musical traditional that is impossible to master without being a member of the family growing up in the environment of passing the musical heritage from one generation to the next. From little children they are immersed in the rhythms of their ancestors as the griot sounds are played each day in the compound while the griots hone their skill.

Their finger dexterity is incredible with hotel guests often coming on stage during the performance to stare in awe at Jali's fingers on the 21 string Kora.

Débrouiller

Written By: Bafila

Mama, papa débrouiller
Sister, brother débrouiller
Mama, papa, sister, brother we got to get right down to it

Whoa Oh Oh
Hey Hey Hey
Débrouiller
Débrouiller

One, two, three dollars a day
I swear to you I eat my pay
If it wasn't for your helping hand
Be so hard in this land

Hey Hey Hey
Whoa Oh Oh
Débrouiller
Débrouiller

Duniya ro
... african lyircs ...
Duniya ro

Mama, papa débrouiller
Sister, brother débrouiller
Mama, papa, sister, brother we got to get right down to it

Whoa oh Oh
Hey Hey Hey
Débrouiller
Débrouiller

So I thank you for your helping hand
So I thank you for your helping hand
