Bagbrown

BandRockBlues

Bagbrown is a tree falling in the woods with no one around to hear it. Appealing equally to both men and women, this band is adored by all generations while revered for their youth. A juggernaut in their own right, Bagbrown's quiet confidence resonates easily between venue, bar, and party settings

Biography

Formed in the Fall of 2006 ... Bagbrown is a three piece juggernaut banging deep within the bowels of North Texas. Consequently, the band knows and cares very little for modern commercialized pop acts hence derive most of their roots from the late 60's and early 70's. Fronted by the 23 year old Scott Heaton and endured by the scathing Steve Sayed & Jordan Benoit, Bagbrown's tone is shaped to resemble the more macabre, yet at times, burlesque side of the the rock and roll lineage. However, that is not to define this outfit as utterly pessimistic and seedy. Aside from the explicit sarcasm, much of their primitive repetoire implicitly underscores themes of hope and trust, personal innovation, motivation vs. ambition, as well as a holy deference for history and antiquity. While directly influenced by such familliar acts as the Doors, the Stooges, the Allman Brothers Band, Led Zeppelin, the Band of Gypsys, Creedence Clearwater Revival, up to Alice in Chains and Dimebag Darrell Abbot, the trio is absolutely inspired by the works of Neil Young, War, Blind Faith, Van Morrison, Howlin' Wolf, Muddy Waters, and Sam Cooke.
