Bio
Alternative acoustic indie rockers, Baily, who hail from Campbell, CA. reach out wielding no-nonsense power acoustic songs fueled from influences by the Alkaline Trio, Hot Water Music, Cranberries, the Cure, Darling Buds, Scheer and Elliott Smith to mention a few. Expect an abundance of acute spirit pouring out from their fervent lyrics with hidden meanings, melodic undertows, and lingering acoustic sounds.
Although members, Meegan and Jim, birthed Baily only a couple years ago, their history together starts long before in the local SF South bay area band named Soda. Soda., an intensely popular girl-fronted pop punk band in the mid- to late-90’s, performed with dozens of super groups including Blink182, Face to Face, No Use for a Name, and Smashmouth while also showcasing at the SF and LA Warped Tours in 1996.
Starting In 2001, after Soda. parted as friends, Jim (songwriter, guitarist) looked into starting projects with some of the Soda. members. One such endeavor in 2003 produced acoustic-styled Baily with Meegan as the front woman, lyricist, co-writer and melodist. Now, a complete package, Baily gains momentum and support with each passing energetic performance.
“[Baily] doesn’t just stand there; [Meegan] moves around and does her little dance. That makes [Baily] interesting to watch along side listening to [Meegan’s] beautiful voice.” – Paoul, Mama Art Cafe Owner
