Bio
Bain Ennis has made a name for himself over the years as an Ambassador of original North Texas Music; picking and singing his unique brand of tunes across the globe, from Kerrville campfires, and honkey tonks all over Texas, to D.C., Boston, Amsterdam, Osaka, Tbilisi, and beyond. As a founding member of Sherman’s legendary “Tone Deaf Cowboys”, then, through his partnership with Ft. Worth’s Ed Rogers, Matthew Williams (Blarney Brothers, Chuck Rainey Trio, Soul Kitchen), Rodger Harrison (Blarney Brothers, Free Whiski) and Patrick Brooks, formed the “Gypsy Troubadours”. Ennis’s songs we’re at the core of the success of these bands, and were key to sparking the “Y’all-ternative” movement in North Texas’ music scene.
Ennis recently slowed down long enough to record his debut solo CD; “Rough Cut’s of Basics” in Boston. The project has already received much praise for its sublime quality and cross-genre appeal. Williams and Harrison support him on the tracks, as-well-as “Tone Deaf Cowboys” collaborator Larry Martin (to name a few)
All three (plus a few other Cowtown luminaries) will be joining
Mr. Ennis on stage to perform the titles from the CD, then the stage will host a “who’s-who” of performers with whom Ennis has worked through the years; a line-up that is sure to produce some exciting surprises. Come early and stay late; you’re not going to want to miss any minute of this!
