Bio

Bajuana Tea began their career together in high school in the classic jam room attic. Learning several classic rock covers, the two enjoyed Jimi Hendrix, Cream, Bob Dylan, Grateful Dead, Janis Joplin and tons of 60's bands.

Years later Austin began writing original music and blending his lyrics with Matrisha's poetry and the magical Bajuana brew began.

The way in which we communicate musically and share so raw and honestly our beliefs and souls through the riffs and lyrics. Each song has feeling and depth and is performed with harmony only found between such lovers of music and each other.

Bajuana Tea is diverse in their practiced ability to perform electrically charged rock sets and mellow, acoustic environments without missing a beat and exude a joy when performing in both arenas that is palpable. Take A Sip is packed with emotionally-charged songs designed to reach the other half of their audience and had been long awaited and requested by family, fans and friends.

In just a few short years we have had the fortunate to perform at special local events including Hayward Field's Eugene 08, 2007 & 2008 & 2009 Grrrlz Rock Series, Breakfast With The Blues radio show, benefits for organizations such as LEAD, Food For Lane County, Mayor Kitty Piercy's Campaign, The Bus Project, WOW Hall and several individual occasions such as weddings, birthday parties, holiday parties, and of course for musicians and survivors of illness in need.

Bajuana Tea is looking forward to more exciting gigs in the future and dream of Saturday Night Live, The Tonight Show and several festivals around the West Coast to jam and meeting Neil Young, our favorite musician.
