The diversity of ethnicities, cultures and creeds forged over more than 5 centuries makes Brazil a country curiously 'singular'. People’s harmonic coexistence with the specificities of the numerous and different nuances of Brazilian essence makes each individual one and many at the same time.
It is in this culture broth, combining different genres and musical styles, merging the irreverence of the Samba, the charisma of Pop, the rhythm of the Swing and the energy of Rock’n’Roll, comes BAKUMBÊ, a Brazilian band composed of Lafaiete Junior (vocals and guitar), Daniel Boechat (guitar and vocals), Bernardo Boechat (bass and vocals) and Paulo Lima (drums and percussion).
Four friends from different musical backgrounds who come together to reinvent traditional genres and regional rhythms, from reggae to forró, from axé to baião, introducing original compositions, as well as reinterpretations, inspired by the diversity and richness of Brazilian culture.
