Balancing Sky is an American Art Metal band formed in 1995 and based in Orlando, FL. It is the main creation of singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Jason Carey. They are distinguished by the use of philosophical lyrics, sonic experimentation, and larger than life concepts delivered in audio and visual mediums not typical for music.
Balancing Sky developed from an earlier group, Marisol Evien, in northern Wisconsin. Pulling from new age and psychedelic influences in the area, it was the marriage of heavy rock and metal influences that would define the creative direction of the band.
