Bio

September 17th, 1986 a child was born onto the streets of Bridgeport, Connecticut. His mother a good woman, young yet from a loving family. Blame the drugs or the era; his father was chasing the same artistic dreams that drive his son today. His aunt First introduced him to Hip Hop and R&B at the age of six. Acts such as “Naughty by Nature”, “Boys 2 Men” and Notorious B.I.G served as early influences. Hard times and family dysfunction proved not only to make him mature faster but made him stronger and wiser in the game of life. He began freestyle rhyming in 1998 as an outlet to vent the frustrations his childhood years had burdened him with. Local parties and events is where BALBOA would build the confidence to rise up and succeed in the music business. Writing is always something he was involved with as a personal escape, but when he learned how to format his bars and create songs the kid never looked back. In 2006 he formed a group with 4 other local mc’s out of CT, The group “Ace High” would go onto record the mixtape “Against all Odds” as well as perform in the night club scene of New Haven, Connecticut. Going their separate ways in 2007 he would go on to record the first of 2 mixtapes “Respect the Unexpected”. The mixtape would go onto create a bigger buzz for the mc and a remix on a “Jay - Z” beat would land him on “Hot 93.7” Connecticut’s biggest hip hop station. 2008 would bring serious change to his life when the rapper moved to West Palm Beach, FL. Not wasting any time he got back to the hustle recording new material for “IT IS WHAT IT IS mixtape pt.1”. Due to creative disputes the cd would never see release and have BALBOA second guessing himself for the first time. Adversity builds character as he bounced right back with his latest project “Destination Paradise”. Set to take on the World, BALBOA is at the top of his game and with his new business partner and record label “Legendary Lifestyle Entertainment” the Connecticut bred mc shows no signs of slowing down in the future.
