Summer 2003, on a sunny balcony overlooking the River Rhein. Close friends: three boys and two girls. No Teens anymore, but still a few steps behind a dead earnest life. Always ready to slip into a pair of flying shoes and to lift off a little. To discover happiness, light heartedness and - of course - to rush into love.
With their first single “Flying Shoes” (released 6.6.2006) Balcony Airplay have immediately entered playlists of various swiss radio stations and received acknowledgement. The debut album „Solarplexus“ contains of 12 delightful and lively popsongs - dedicated to the soul reaching out for the distant horizon and to the heart, where love is at home. Written for every day of the week and anytime of the day, but especially for those afternoons when you are sitting on your balcony having a cup of finest coffee together with some wonderful chocolate-cake.
Also live, Balcony Airplay is very much worth the effort! With their playful, charming and fun performance, the band escorts their audience away from daily routine - nobody will stay untouched by the positive vibes; soon the whole audience is stirring, tapping, and dancing...
Inspired by this success, Balcony Airplay is now heading for Germany with their new single “Runaway Train”. The song is about hope and that life is always going on somehow - an experience the band made on several occasions on their way up.
All of a sudden, you can feel this gentle summer breeze - inviting you to dance and opening your eyes to a far away place inside. Nothing’s left, but a smile. Listening, flowing with those enchanted melodies - allowing the wind to lift you higher, until you arrive… There, where the heart beats. Balcony Airplay encourages you to enter… Enter ‘Happiness, made in Switzerland’.
