They call him the "East Coast version of Tyler The Creator", heading one of NYC's quickest rising collective and indie labels, Tru Statement Entertainment. As an emcee Baldi diverges from any Odd Future comparison. A lyricist, clever with words and with an understanding of their importance.

Having performed on nearly every stage there is to perform on in New York City, Baldi is most comfortable in front of a crowd and has no tolerance for standing around when that time comes. His work with a live band as the frontman for his then band Suburban Graffiti has built him with an unmistakable stage presence from years of computing with the sound and talent of a full band.

That group mentality of a band has now led Baldi to build Tru Statement, a group of emcees, producers, vocalists, jazz musicians and more, created to do the work of one with the help of many. As a group on stage, Baldi is once again the frontman and responsible for jumping in the crowd for an up close and personal verse or two. As a business representative, along with business partner Casey McGuire, he handles the marketing, booking and promotion behind every Tru Statement release.

With Tru Statement having received over 40k album downloads during their inaugural year in 2010, releasing 8 projects in total, it is now time for Baldi to reaffirm himself as an emcee and artist. Prepping his first official Tru Statement release for the Winter 2012, Baldi is determined that everyone knows and remembers the man behind the curtain.

"I can only hope that at some point, a handful of people will be able to say that I have had the same influence on them that so many artists have had on me. Cliché or not, it is the truth. I try to keep my music honest, sometimes light hearted and sarcastic, yet other times prophetic and direct. I am an emcee, but more than that I consider myself a writer and a student of life and music." - Baldi
