Bio
Ballerina Black is a band that has quickly made a name for themselves on the L.A. scene since they formed in late 2007. A blend of 80s mope rock and early Factory Records ambience sans the elitism, the Los Angeles trio consists of singer/songwriter Bobby Moynahan, bassist Esli Sugich and drummer. Although Moynahan is the primary songwriter, the band’s sound is very much a product of each individual band members’ eclectic musical tastes. The result is pop music with a grunge-era aesthetic. Driven by their raucous and inspired live performances, they have been embraced by the ever-evolving and often fickle patronage of the L.A. music scene, spawning new fans by the droves at every stop.
