BALTIMORE - EP "forthcoming"

Bio

How many Matt Johnson's are in your city? That was the question that lingered on the mind of BALTIMORE's brainchild MJ while pondering the jump to a solo career. A quick look on google and the number registered near the thousand mark in his home town of Minneapolis... the idea for "BALTIMORE" was born.

Five years into fronting the successful Minneapolis band Panoramic Blue, MJ needed something more. Having already shared the stage with countless national acts, independently selling over 10,000 records without label support and packing clubs throughout the midwest, MJ was missing one thing... a record that he was truly proud of.

The decision was a very difficult one to do, stepping out from the familiarity of a group, the safety net of three best friends, but was something that had to be done. MJ had songs written that weren't going to fit the safe ''pop'' sounds that Panoramic Blue had played for years. These new songs had an energy, and a life all their own.

Partnering with the infamous production team of Matt Kirkwold and James Harley, otherwise known as World Record Productions and best known for their work with Sony Recording Artist's "Quietdrive," MJ had found the team that would bring BALTIMORE to life.

After months in the studio with A-list members of the Minneapolis music scene, the BALTIMORE EP was off to NYC for mastering by the renowned Vlado Meller. Weeks later, the FEDEX package with the completed record was back in Minneapolis. The disc went right in the player and BALTIMORE had arrived.

BALTIMORE brings to the stage the energy of youth, but the polish only seasoned professionals can deliver. The set is high energy, high quality and pure rock and roll. Check out BALTIMORE now so you can say "I saw them when....."
