A collective of six musicians crafting true wizzardship from the edge of Europe. Grounded on an improvised experimental attitude, B� Mbo is set to explore amongst the realms of Jazz, Ethnic, Roots, Spiritual and avantgard traditions.
All six musicians reside in Lisbon (Portugal). They are all actively engaged in the Portuguese music scene, and all have, and some still do study jazz in the Hot Club of Portugal.
Born out of weekely experimental sessions wich started in May 2007, the project soon came to be a dazzling new aproache to music and sound. It is highly aclaimed for its powerfull somehow mystical performences. "An honest aproach to sound implemented to induce, transmit, and transform diverse realms of perception". The taste, mood, sentiment, and relish, the state of heightened emotional perception triggered by the presence of B� Mbo's musical energy is trully mesmerizing, a search for uncharted ways of musical expression.
The independent EP released by the collective (The Anahata Revolution) was recorded live in a Performance and Earth Arts Festival within the walls of a convent. The EP consists of five themes fully improvised in the moment of conception, and remastered afterwards in the collective's private studio.
Currently developing new ways of aproaching improvisation, and preparing the second release.
