In early 2004, Ray Smith and David Bright decided to re-kindle their dream of playing in a rock band and so took up their neglected guitars once again. Since then Mike Bullot (Lead Vocals)), Steve Pringle (bass) and Dave Drane (Drums) have jumped on board to complete the 2009 Bamboo Loud line-up.
Their much anticipated first live show sold out within 48 hours and launched Bamboo Loud as a new force on the local live circuit. Having cut their teeth on a number of local charity gigs and 'open-air' festivals in recent years, they have begun to attract a growing, if slightly deafened fan base.
At present the band only take on gigs where they can perform a minimum 50/50 mix of original songs and covers. The band believe that performing their own material live is what it’s all about. So all covers get the Bamboo Loud treatment (a distinctive style performed at a pounding rock pace).
Rooted in the classic rock style with a slight neo punk attitude, Bamboo Loud are undeniably a solid band who deliver a lively performance with a sound to match. Their original set is packed full of instantly memorable and catchy songs that you won’t get out of your head for days.
Now Bamboo Loud are ready to move on up to the next stage.
