BAM!

On December 5,1987, in the Hollywood Road, Bankhead section of Atlanta,
raised along with 3 younger brothers by a single Mom desperately trying to stay just one step ahead of trouble, Antonio Rumond Ellison Jr. came into the world. BAM!

It was on a weekend night, while attending W.J Scott Elementary, that he happened to catch a TV show called “American Music Makers”. That was all it took. In the 4th grade, his Dad got him his first keyboard.

Immersing himself not only in performing, but also in the writing, arranging and production aspects of his music, it was during this period that BAM formed a group consisting of himself along with his two younger brothers.

Later…BAM decided to strike out on his own, performing, and winning, a succession of Open Mike contests. It was during one such event, in 2003, that his soon to be Manager, Troy Scott, first heard him and instantly became a true believer. Showcasing him at various forums, Scott assisted in BAM’s rapid development. In 2004, performing in New Orleans shortly before Hurricane Katrina laid waste to the city, he recorded 3 original tracks in Diamond Studio.

From there, it was back to Atlanta where he played at various Community Clubs, like Sparkles, eventually securing a spot as Opening Act for The Franchise Boys. According to BAM, it was then that he “knew” it could happen. Hosting their own Parties and Fundraisers, he performed at various venues including, East Side Pool Palace, and Endenu.

You gotta go through it, to get to it.”,—

Look out for the upcoming album entitled, “Lint 2 Cents”.

Its message, according to the artist, simply put:

“Each day is a Blessing!
Everyone has a Purpose!
You should feel good,
Be confident,
And above all,
Walk your own talk!”
