BAMBU

BandWorldRock

Infectiously dancable original psychtropic world beat fusion of reggae/latin/pop/funk/psychedelic/blues

Biography

What happens when you bring together a vocalist from Kingston Jamaican, a New York pop and jazz vocal legend (the Cake and Nightflight), a Jersey born psychedelic guitar afficionado, a vocalist/ percussionist from Argentina, a prog rock funkateer bass player from Ohio, a midwest drummer who travelled to Cuba to enhance his already significant world beat chops, and a west coast keyboard player...and put them in, of all places, Iowa? You get Bambu... music guaranteed to lift your spirit and command you to move your feet and all your other body parts. Bambu has played extensively throughout the midwest...Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin and Colorado and opened for Everclear, Ekoostik Hookah, Jazz Mandolin Project, Liquid Soul, the Meditations and the Itals

Innovative styles combine to blow your perception of reality, December 10, 2000

Reality after owning this CD will change for the better. Happiness is the most significant emotion this music creates and you will not be disappointed with this CD. Every song on the album is a bit different and makes for the entire CD an excellent listen. It kind of takes you on a journey too.. smoothly taking off, rocketing into never-never land and then gently landing you back on Mother Earth. Best money I ever spent on a CD!!

Great music for the body and soul!, June 21, 2000

Bambu mixes rhythms from Latin America and the Caribbean, melodies from jazz and rock, and words straight from the heart and soul. The result is music that makes your body move and your spirit soar. It's not often you find GREAT dance music that speaks of unity in the human family. World beat at it's best!
