Bambus City Strut have been making their mark on the UK scene, spinning their take on Soul,Funk break beats, smooth grooves giving and electric energy, the 11 piece band are building up their name. Formed in 2009 and on the rise this band will leve you always wanting more.
Fronted by Sasha Patterson, the main songwriter of the band who captivates you with her voice and has been described as a mix of Alicia keys and Chaka Khan, along with the independent sound brought by the rythem and horn section, the energy of the backing vocals and live frontal they have been getting people on their feet with songs such as "Infatuated Love" and "Transparent Soul" which are from their upcoming EP.
The bands influences have come from as far as Peru, Reggae Roots and the classic era of Funk, Reggae and Soul from Willie Dale to Bootsy Collins moving to modern influences such as the Tru Thoughts label artists, Cinematic Orchestra and individuals such as DJ Shadow, The Roots and many more.
The 11 individuals in this band are all experienced musicians in their own rights who have performed many a field and location, however they come together to bring you a unique and fresh take on Soul and Funk and with a mix of people that span from the UK, South America, Europe and the Caribbean, this comes through in their live shows..
