Kilkenny Road is a performing group who play instrumental traditional Irish music. The music is an energetic blend of jigs, reels, hornpipes, and aires that is reminiscent of the music played in the pubs of Ireland.

Kilkenny Road plays "traditional Irish music" as played by small pub bands. The instruments used are authentic acoustic instruments that have been played in Ireland for centuries. The music can be described as high-energy, instrumental dance-music. The members of Kilkenny Road come from a wide and varied assortment of musical backgrounds including jazz, folk, bluegrass, classical, and mountain styles. This rich history, plus their passion for this difficult but enjoyable musical style sets
them apart from most of the groups in their area.
