"Mitch Winston harkens back to Elektra Records in the 70s!"

Singer songwriter with a rock backbone. Could easily be at home opening for Dylan or Blue Oyster Cult. Eyes wide open and an open hands welcome the listener. His eyes may be open but he's viewing the world with wisdom. Wisdom he is glad to share. Check out "Grace Last Night" and "Civilized Hyneas" as high points of this well rounded disc. - Willy Deville

Bio

The Band of Natural Selection plays original music that evokes feeling and emotion. We also play some great covers, since great songs are great songs. Some of our influences are Springsteen, Dylan, and Pink Floyd.

Recently, The Band of Natural Selection opened up for Suzanne Vega at the famous Stephen's Talkhouse in New York, played the WEHM Rock Art Show and Benefit in the Hamptons, the Connecticut State Fair, and is an annual mainstay in front of thousands at the Tunnel to Towers Run in New York City honoring the fallen heroes of September 11th.

Natural Seleciton has also opened up for Suzanne Vega, Mark Cohn, Richie Havens, Marshall Crenshaw, Blue Oyster Cult, and headlined alongside the late Jeff Healy in Toronto. World renowned musicians including Tony Levin, Vernon Reid, Dave Brown, Duke Levine, Dave Mattacks and other greats all appear on The Band of Natural Selection's albums.
