Bio
Bang bang is a duo formed in 2010, made up of Shawn Strub on vocals and guitar and Mandy Dietz on drums. With a warm, rich tone to her voice and a penchant for B-sides, Shawn has been singing her whole life, even opening for The Smashing Pumpkins with her former Denver-based band, The 40th Day. Shawn's vocal styling has been influenced by jazz greats like Nina Simone to alt rockers like PJ Harvey. Mandy has played in bands for many years as a vocalist. A year ago she began studying drums with Dawn Richardson, former drummer of the Four Non-Blondes.
Bang bang plays a mix of obscure-ish cover tunes and dreamy originals.
