B.A.N.G. formed in December of 2008 by 15 year old front-man Mike Ripley.
In the beginning, B.A.N.G. was a 4 piece punk band out of New Jersey. Within the first two months of being a band, they compiled a set of original music and entered The Break Contest in hopes of earning a spot in The Bamboozle Festival. Though they did not advance in The Break, their set did lead to a show at the legendary Stone Pony. They spent the next 8 months playing various shows around Jersey.
Through the course of the next several months, B.A.N.G. developed a heavier, post-hardcore sound. They picked up a 5th member and went into the studio to record their first demo, “Do You Believe In Forever?”. This gained the band much support. They moved forward at an incredible pace.
To date, B.A.N.G. has played 15+ shows around New Jersey, including 3 headlining shows and 4 more appearances at The Stone Pony. They have 3 studio recorded songs, as well as a studio booked in march of 2011 to record a debut full-length album. B.A.N.G. has made tremendous progress in the 2 short years they have been a band and they have no intentions of slowing down.
B.A.N.G.’s debut album, “I Am Alive” has a release date of June 10th, 2011!
