Bio
The story of Barbara Alli as a singer begins when she was six years old. By the age of ten she started realizing her talent singing in a Nigerian choir.
In Vienna, Austria Barbara Alli joined an evangelic church choir where she started singing and composing at the same time. She was so inspired by gospel music and started to compose great songs, some of
them in her mother tongue “Yoruba”. She went for vocal as well as music theory lessons and started learning how to play the keyboard.
2011-2012 Barbara ´s journey continues to the Caribbean is- lands where she took part in an international training for artists. Since then nothing can hold her from being a full time singer. Voice- marketing- and songwriting-trainings followed.
2012: Recording of her first album „Non-stop journey“.
Through her dedication to understand music Barbara Alli got inspired by the sounds, styles and messages of many artists such as Miriam Makeba, Fela Kuti, Angelique Kidjo, Asa, Beyonce Knowles, Michael
Jackson, Christina Anguilera and many other artists which enabled her to create her own style of music.
Pop, Rnb, Soul, Reggae, Blues, Funk and other styles of music have influenced her own way of singing which she decided to name “Afro-pop”.
Today Barbara Alli ´s energy on stage and her fine feeling for rhythm made her perform on different stages in Europe.
