Playing live, the Australians BARBARIÖN are a bizarre mixture between Gwar and Manowar, as could recently be observed in some selected clubs. The seven bold heroes prove that they have a lot of humor, though. Catchy popular tunes like 'Man Of Men', 'Cocaine Maiden', 'Metalman' or 'Sons Of War' do actually sound „serious“ and don't seem too silly in spite of the clichees which are exhausted to the max, but nevertheless have to be understood with a wink. That also becomes clear within minutes during their live shows, because the band mercilessly overdoes their posing. On CD, you have to listen a bit harder. Which, at the end of the day, really doesn't matter, because those eight songs on the self-produced album are totally worth listening, regardless of their humourous attitude. Gwar, you can only bear live, BARBARIÖN also anytime at home on your stereo. Great hooks, catchy riffs, some Maiden-harmonies, much True-Metal-stuff, a little bit of Aussie-rock' n 'roll...
The group affected by the guys from Down Under ranges from Brother Cle and similarly freaky characters to the crew of academics gathered around Dr. Dr. Kaiser. This alone is proof for the highest standards.

Barbarion formed in 2007, the brainchild of singer Myles Tauchert, with one primary objective. To entertain anyone from any walk of life at any cost.
Featuring 2 larger than life front men, 3 howling guitars and a Rhythm section with the power of Thor himself. The bands music, whilst entirely original, pays stylistic homage to the classic era of Hard Rock and Heavy Metal (Artists such as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and ACDC spring to mind) The band prides itself on sparing no expense on the visual aspect of the performance with full costumes and special effects being constantly developed and added to.
