Barbarosa Jones

Barbarosa Jones started in October of 2018 as drummer Adrian Castro and guitarist Sean Westbrook set sail on ferry of questionable safety from Estonia on their way back to the United States. They have been playing with their prior band named 'Zacks' but that chapter had come to a close with coming Russian winter and their desire to see sunlight again back home in America.


All that awaited them back in Los Angeles was an uncertain future and no idea of the winding road that would bring them to Columbus, GA. They started collaborating with musicians they had met abroad and from their past in Los Angeles, recording Lost California with guest Lena Purtu. The song captured their mood as they left California once again bound for Georgia this time.


People often ask what genre they are in, and that is a tough question to answer as they blend rock, pop, funk and jazz along with an undeniable Southern Rock aesthetic that makes the band unique and dynamic to watch on stage. One fan hailing from Russia likened the sound to "Credence Clearwater Revival meets The Red Hot Chili Peppers."

One thing is certain, the band captures audiences attention whenever they play and seek to bring that force to more venues around the Southeastern USA.
