Bio

BAR CODE BAND started out as a country band. But when our original female vocalist left the group, our manager, Kathy, replaced her immediately with newcomer TWITTER! whom she discovered singing karaoke one night at a club in central Illinois. After her initial audition we immediately became a rock band. However, we still play a few country songs to keep our "dummer" (oops...drummer) entertained. Our lead female vocalist TWITTER! has a stage presence and personality that endears her to our audiences. However, she dearly loves show tunes and we have to remind her occasionally that we are not on Broadway and the band will not play show tunes just for her listening pleasure; not even at practice. TWITTER's vocal ability is indescribable, and definitely memorable. Her performances are professional, and entertaining. The band is affectionately referred to as "TWITTERS CRITTERS" and they are a musically eclectic group. Each of our band members are influenced by different genres of music. The drummer prefers to sing lounge music and country, whereas our lead guitarist would rather hear and play heavy metal or punk. And the bass player is more into classic rock and alternative. They have combined their preferences and have come up with a combination of music that suits their audiences that they enjoy playing. Each member of BAR CODE brings with them years of experience playing in other bands. And they each can play multiple instruments! Tyler shares the stage with TWITTER! as lead male vocalist. He has played and sang all over the US, including places such as The House of Blues Orlando, and The Fort Worth Stockyards. Mark also an accomplished vocalist, with a range that is unique and inspiring, has been known to turn heads when he hits high notes that most male vocalist would never attempt. And you may recognize Eric from the Sundance Film Festival, since he is "famous" in Philly!
