One of Belgians leading radio’s summarized it like this ‘Guys from 15 and 19 years old, who get their inspiration from Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jeff Buckley and The Doors, surely trigger our attention. When they sound like a young Keziah Jones and sing like a thirty year old, we are definitely impressed.

Biography

Barefoot and the Shoes brings tight energetic atmospheric (a bit) jazzy/funky/acoustic/folkish/singer-songwriters psychedelic blues-rock and stuff...

Barefoot and the Shoes exists out of Barefoot Lynnfield (Vocals/Guitar), Sander Cliquet (Backings/lead-guitar), Cyrille Obermüller (Double Bass) and Dirk Vandenbulcke (Drums).

The two founders of the band, Barefoot Lynnfield and Sander Cliquet started their musical adventare as buskers in Louvain. Barefoot and his shoes are inspired by Led Zeppelin, Tom Waits, Jeff Buckley, Pearl Jam, The Doors, Jimi Hendrix, Johnny Cash, Mumford and Sons, Deep Purple, Nirvana, Pink Floyd, Son House, Seasick Steve, Bon Iver, ...

On the 5th of May 2010 they joined the record label 'SONICANGEL' and were given the possibility to make a full album.
And after almost a year, their first album was, On the 27th of May 2011, in the belgian stores: Exit Out Of Dreamland.

Barefoot & the Shoes is emotion, virtuosity and originality in the broadest sense.

Barefoot and the Shoes's main goals is making music and inspiring others by doing so, but especially performing as much as possible (in theaters, festivals, pubs, ...).
