Biography

Barefoot Soul was formed in 2005 by creative director Jerome Banaszynski. JB is a long time veteran of the Philadelphia blues scene and was looking for a group of musicians dedicated to performing modern music based upon the structure of traditional blues. The mixture of George's funky keyboard style with the rock tinged guitar of Terry Favier led to the original incarnation of the band. The addition of Mary Dunbar on lead vocals brought the band to a new level. Mary is a graduate of Henderson High and Drexel University where she was influenced by modern blues diva Susan Tedeschi. Her soul tinged vocals are delivered with an unmatched sincerity that is bound to move any listener. Coupled with a rythm section that can pound nails through concrete, this line up has a tight sound that is almost unheard off on today's cover band scene.

Discography

Barefoot Soul cut their first demo CD at Mad Dog Studios, LTD. in August 2007. The demo consists of five cover tracks representative of their overall style. All tracks were recorded 'live' in the studio with no overdubs, in the style of the great Chess recordings of the 50's and 60's.
