Bio
Bark is Alessio Casalini, Alexey Artemov, Krystal Hawes and Aidan Nixiwei-Flores. We are a music collective based in New York City. Our band came to life in 2014 drawing on various influences, love to intricate arrangements and experimentation.
We released our debut self- titled EP “Bark” in January 2016, a collection of 7 tracks each with a voice of its own and two music videos. Each song is a collaborative effort featuring various singer-songwriters (including Amy Vachal – finalist on the show "The Voice", Season 9), talented musicians and composers.
As Bark we started playing live shows on January 18 at Brooklyn Bowl as a part of a film festival showcasing the music video for “Home” - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nC0HLD3gzfw.Followed with shows at Pianos NYC and Rockwood Music Hall Stage 2. We will be back at Pianos in early June and will be available for shows in the area in July-August.
Our style is along the lines of Portishead, Massive Attack - 2 singers (male, female), full band heavily relying on analog synths and bass. Current set is approximately 40 min. All songs are synchronized with their music videos and original video content which can be projected on a screen. A new music video will be produced to promote the shows. We’re using our own automated lighting setup and monitoring to make it easy for engineers.
