BARRIO POPULO seems to appear far away from mainstream musical styles, far from imposed rules....Together since their childhood, these 8 young musicians have been nourished on the same rock broth. On stage, BP is like a great wave carrying you along with its energy, is like a celebration, is like a huge bonfire around which we dance. " Brass instruments on all sides, rock, Spanish influence, French poetry, the stirring of youth, a band on a spree, Barrio Populo never ceases to amaze.
"In only three years, these 8 musicians barely 20 years old, give their all on stage with a real punk vigour, and it works! Undeniably the energy is there, but above all the show of expertise surprises and commands respect.The set is pleasing, musically diverse and well constructed, the voice is clear, relevant... No-one can deny a strong relationship to "La Mano Negra", but we can also see touches of "Noir Desir", a few phrases a bit "Mano Solo" in the quieter songs... Influenced by a whole load of people !!! The future is bright for this band that more and more people are already talking about... "
