Barry Johnson's music is a big plate of Rock-infused rhythms and drive with a healthy pinch of Soul, slathered with a heaping helping of Gospel-inspired ingredients like B3 organ, soulful background vocals and wailing guitars.
Co-produced by legendary Allman Brothers audio guru Bud Snyder, Barry's latest CD "Tenacious Grace" is steeped in all the classic rock guitar tones and soul-beckoning Hammond B3 riffs you’d expect from Snyder’s influence.
Fans have compared Barry’s music to the likes of John Mayer, Kings of Leon and Phillip Phillips.
Barry has had the privilege of performing right along side of The Allman Bros. guitarist Dan Toler, legendary gospel singer Jessie Dixon and CCM artists Tommy Walker and Karen Lafferty. Barry spent several years living overseas in Amsterdam, Holland and touring throughout Europe and the US. Needless to say, he has performed in some interesting venues such as; Dutch National television, world-renowned Gent Festival, Belgian National radio, South East Asian refugee camps, American prisons and various stages, festivals and street events all over Europe and the US.
