Barry hails from the Caribbean Emerald Isle of Montserrat. He is no stranger to music. He started as the lead singer of the very popular band "Playboys " from Montserrat.
In the US his passion for music continued with his Orlando based reggae band "Barry and the Rockers". This band played in South Florida & Key West. They released two singles. The first single was "Down in Babylon" produced by the Inner Circle Band. The follow up single "Dread Times" was recorded in Jamaica and produced by Sly & Robbie/ David Brown.
His debut album "Too Much Drama" was released on SBJ Records in November 2010. This album is a compilation of eleven soca party songs. There is something for everyone. The first song released off the album "Nuff Respect" is a tribute to the late Alphonsus Cassell better known as Arrow Soca King of the World. The second song "Carnival is Coming" is a festival mood setter. It speaks for its self as it reminds festival goers that "It's carnival man have some fun." In 2012 Tilley Street Chronicles in their report of the West Indian American Labor Day Carnival Parade used Carnival is Coming as the background music for their video report (view here).
A new album entitled "50th Anniversary" is now available, released by the SBJ Record Company to accent Montserrat's 50th Anniversary Celebration Dec. 14th - Jan 1st.
