Shadow Tango

Written By: Barry Westerlund

You were dancing the shadow tango
Twisting and turning in the evening air
The music woke your suductive side
You could melt my heart just by floating by.

My memories take me back to you
That summer dress I could see right thru.
My heart would jump as you drew near
But the years revealed my darkest fears

Well we danced passions tango
We held each other all through the night
Then the days turned to years, your love faded away
I woke one morning you were clear out of sight.

I tracked you down and found you there
Lying in the arms of another man
Lost my mind and lost my soul
Someone had to pay the toll

Now I'm dancing the shadow tango
My partner is dark and precise
I'm dancing the shadow tango
With a heart as cold as ice.

Alone in my run down room
My memory is all I have left of you
The sun will rise and I'll have to face
Just another day in this cold dark place

Cause my memories take me back to you
That summer dress I could see right thru
My heart would jump as you drew near
But the years revealed my deepest fears

Cause you're a breath of wind I could not hold
Your wild heart, a budding rose.
A possession so devine
I gripped so tight, I killed the vine

Now you are dancing the shadow tango
Twisting and turning in heavens air

Nothing Left To Say

Written By: Barry Westerlund

NOTHING LEFT TO SAY

I cried a tear last night when we parted, we parted ways.
We didn't even say goodnight cause there was nothing, nothing left to say.
Then the darkness surrounded me like a, a blanket of fear.

I cried a tear last night
I cried a tear last night
I cried a tear last night
Cause there was nothing, nothing left to say.

I woke this morning with a song, a song left unsung.
The words just illuminate all the wrongs, the wrongs I have done.
It's hard to escape the truth when it's, staring back at you

I cried a tear last night
I cried a tear last night
I cried a tear last night
Cause there was nothing, nothing left to say.

How many times must I apologize for the, the things that I do
How many times have I broke your heart, broke it right in two

I cried a tear last night
I cried a tear last night
I cried a tear last night
Cause there was nothing, nothing left to say.
Oh there was nothing, nothing left to say.
Oh there was nothing, nothing left to say.
