Basco delivers a multifaceted experience: full of nuance and beauty, of temperament and drive, of grand sweeping landscapes, delicate, fractal detail, and of good, old fashioned, raw, foot-stomping power.

Biography

Formed in 2004 with a debut at the Tonder Festival, Basco is an unavoidable phenomenon on the Scandinavian folk music scene. Whether performing as a quartet or with the Danish Radio Bigband, Basco's energy, virtuosity and inventiveness have gained the hearts and minds of audiences all over Europe. Short-listed for the prestigious Nordic Music Prize in 2014 for their album "The Remarkable Return of Old Man Basco", as the first folk string-band ever.
