Bio
Boulder's rising star, BassLine is a "Blues-rock fueled" (Boulder Weekly) sound exploding on scene since the summer of 2008. They seamlessly blend classic rock from the likes of Zeppelin with a unique progressive blues sound creating an undeniable style. BassLine was on the Daily Camera's list of the top five young bands to watch.
These three musicians are set apart by their intricate original material laced with complex rhythmic subtleties. The driving force is without a doubt the rhythm section led by the tight drumming style of Collin Mcnellis who leaves no room for question. John Demitro's bass geniusly syncs with the punchy kick creating one tightly knit machine. Alex Hawley's melodic fretwork provides the edge that leaves the audience wanting more. All topped off by Johnny D's screamin' vocals which can be compared to Robert Plant or Jack White. They grab the audiences' attention and never let go.
Through excellent musicianship and flavor, BassLine ensures that even the most narrow musical tastes will be satisfied. They have graced many of Colorado's top venues, from small intimate settings to the main stage in Colorado's finest festivals. Currently working on their debut album, BassLine continues to spread the news about their unique music. This is sure not to be the last time you hear of this up and coming group.
