Bio
Powerful and melodic are two words to describe singer/songwriter and producer BaTrina Davis. This Houston, TX native is the product of tremendous effort hewn from her life experience as a Mother, Wife, Sister and Musician. In tune with her own spirit, BaTrina recreates her personal experience with God every time she sings and write music.
BaTrina's musical experience as a soloist and background vocalist has exposed her to the highest levels of Gospel music. Her experiences as a soloist include: Back-to back finishes in the Hal Jackson Talented Teen Competition-resulting in a performances at the world-renowned Apollo Theatre in New York City. A 2002 first place finish in the Houston Idol Competition held by Fox and 104KRBE radio station resulting in her opening for Destiny's Child and Nick Carter of the Back Street Boys at the KRBE Jingle Jam Concert.
As a background vocalist, BaTrina toured from 1994-2003 with gospel singer Kim Burrell. Additional credits include: Martha Munizzi at the 2005 Stellar Awards, the legendary Oliver Scott of The Gap Band, trombonist Frank Roots Lacy and she has performed on stage with Chaka Chan, Fred Hammond, Richard Smallwood, Donald Lawrence and many others.
