Batz

Batz born August 20, 1987 Dereck Brown 2nd, grew up in the city of East Saint Louis in single parent home by one the strongest women ever his mother. His mother played the piano, he had a aunt that sung, uncle played the sax, and grandfather played the blues so he well surrounded by music. At a early we gasp the concept of music. In 1999 after his grandfather died he developed a passion for rapping and formed a group with two of his cousins the F.I.N.O. Boyz (Failure Is No Option) with everbody being in school they really only had the summer to work on the music so things start to fade. By Batz being the producer/artist he keep on grinding networking within the wall of school let people hear his tapes he began to create a name for himself in the city, recorded several mixtapes. In 2004 everthing came to a stand still when he mother suffered a stroke and was hospitalized for several months but her being strong she pulled through and told to keep his dreams alive. He began to work for his family business and hustle part time trying to eat. Later that year he hooked with Hustle Block Ent. joining a group called Hitmen (Iceberg, Ceas, Nerv, Jump, Batz)which molded him into the artist he is today gave his swag. They did show from Springfeild, Il to Carbondale, IL performed on ever stage their on home city, but to the lack of communication the group broke up. In 2007 Ceas went on to start his own venture called 365 Music Group Batz produced for him and other local cats and currentlty doing the same thing & working a boat load of songs and beats for himself.
