Lyrics

Goodbye Mary-Lou

Written By: Baxter Rhodes

You're running too fast for your feet to withstand, you're rushing around on your own.
Playing games that you don't understand with people you hardly know.

Don't lose yourself Mary Lou
Don't let your foolish pride take over you
To Good Souls be True

You're hunting around after things you can't see, your echoes fade in the smoke.
Heading nowhere with no kind of view, trying to fix what you broke.

Don't lose yourself Mary Lou
Don't let your foolish pride take over you
To Good Souls be True

Your eyes don't smile anymore Mary Lou, where'd you run to Mary Lou?

Love's Old Sweet Song

Written By: Irish Folk Song/G. Clifton-Bingham circa 1880

once in the dear dead days beyond recall, when on the world the mists began to fall.
where from the dreams that rose in happy throng, low to our hearts love sung an Old Sweet Song/
And from the dusk where fell the firelight gleam, softly it weaves itself to our dreams, to our sweet dreams.
Just a song at twilight when the lights are low and the flickering shadows softly come and go, though the heart be weary, sad the day and long, still to us at Twilight comes, Love's Old Song, Love's Old Sweet Song.
Even today we hear love songs of yore, deep in our heart it dwells for evermore. Footsteps may falter weary grow the way, still we can hear it at the end of day, so till the end when life's dim shadows fall, love will be found, the sweetest song of all. The sweetest song of all.
Just a song at twilight when the lights are low and the flickering shadows softly come and go, though the heart be weary, sad the day and long, still to us at Twilight comes, Love's Old Song, Love's Old Sweet Song.
