Bio

"One person with a belief is equal to a force of ninety-nine who have only interest."
-John Stuart Mill

Bayland’s contagious melodies and captivating stories rebound off the tongue and melt on the heart. The carefully crafting duo of Kyle Sapp and Ryan McAdoo know just where to target the zeal of their music: “We aim for the gut,” Sapp says. “We want the audience to feel the pain of the characters in our songs.” Bayland grabs emotions and pulls hard on the listener’s heart strings with raw talent and songwriting beyond their years. With Sapp’s rich vocals applying McAdoo’s creative genius, they croon through smooth productions threaded with catchy melodies of mainstream music and Tennessee dirt.

It’s here in the Nashville, Tennessee dirt that Bayland finds their roots. In the Fall of 2010, a partnership began to form that began as college dorm floor mates, though neither Sapp nor McAdoo could know the places it would take them. Beginning with a free and virally explosive EP (Whistle Blower, www.noisetrade.com/foxeshavefoxholes), the duo first coined themselves “Foxes Have Foxholes.” Momentum increased with several shows that shared the stage with the likes of Caleb Chapman, Cameron Bedell, and others. Opportunities, such as Belmont University’s Pipeline (a music business think-tank) selecting the group for an indie artist show and video shoot promotion, have kept the group in demand for their talent. In the Fall of 2011, as momentum began to pick up, the duo knew it was time to establish an entity built for success. With a new name, evolving sound, and the same dynamic duo, Bayland’s new direction demonstrates a vision for a promising horizon. “Without putting Foxes behind us, we are evolving. Our new sound is where we’ve found ourselves and we are excited about this fresh foundation,” says McAdoo.

With talk of a full-length album in late Spring 2012, Bayland shows no sign of slowing down. Kyle Sapp’s entrancing voice and Ryan McAdoo’s creative finesse have together ignited a spark – A spark that has caught the hearts of many as they connect with the story of two passionate young men pursuing their dreams.
